Job Description:

The candidate will be part of the Mechanical, Thermal Engineering Department and will be responsible for:

1. Mechanical design, 3D modelling, and sizing of spacecraft Mechanical Structure parts
2. Thermal design, 3D modelling of spacecraft Thermal hardware parts
3. Harness design, 3D modelling of harness bundles
4. 2D CAD Drafting related to previous points
5. Product Structures and BOM preparation and management within Company databases
6. Mechanical, thermal, and electrical standard part selection from Company databases
7. Structure Mass Budget preparation and reporting

Education & Qualifications

• Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering Bachelor;
• High school degree relevant to Mechanical or similar background (acceptable as minimum level but fulfilling all major points listed below): i to vii.

Experience and skills

The candidate should have at least two years’ experience as a CAD design specialist. Knowledge of aerospace structures and basic sizing of mechanical parts are a plus.

The mandatory skills include:

• Experienced knowledge of CATIA V5 CAD modelling
• Mechanical design including Parts Design, Assembly Design, Sheet metal design, Electrical wire harness installation, Drafting module
• Knowledge of PDM systems (ENOVIA preferred)
• Understanding of mechanical tolerances, standard parts datasheets, and geometrical input for CAD design
• Product Tree management and use of dedicated tools
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
• Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Optional skills that are a plus include:

• Mechanical analysis (static/modal)
• Workshop experience in machining and manufacturing techniques
