Mechanical Supervisor

The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the correct execution of the erection of mechanical parts and equipment, in accordance with the contractual time schedule, design, and technical requirements. The role involves achieving contractual milestones related to the erection phase and coordinating subcontractors.

Responsibilities include:

• Supervising the installation of mechanical parts and equipment
• Checking the correct alignment and movement of equipment
• Verifying that the erection company adheres to the time schedule, design, and technical requirements
• Checking resource planning of the erection company
• Interfacing with engineering departments to resolve issues during execution
• Checking and signing off on erection completion documents
• Managing vendors and contractors
• Attending meetings with the customer regarding progress
• Managing relationships with clients and local authorities as needed
• Coordinating with headquarters and subcontractors
• Preparing daily reports on activity status
• Providing technical assistance during trial and commissioning phases

Required knowledge and skills:

• Leadership skills to coordinate, manage, and control mechanical and piping erection activities in industrial plants
• At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience in constructing steel processing plants
• Knowledge of site erection and commissioning activities management for steel plants is preferred
• Excellent written and spoken English skills
• Ability to work in a team and be flexible
• Willingness to travel worldwide
• Strong organizational skills, responsibility, and ability to work under pressure
• Open-mindedness towards new approaches and innovations
