The Mechanical & Piping Design Engineer oversees the mechanical and piping design activities for projects within the String Test cell. Responsibilities include:

1. Executing string test design (thermodynamic and mechanical) for turbo-compressors, electric motor-compressors, and turbo-generator packages, including conceptual P&ID diagrams, thermodynamic verification, piping design per ASME code, and supporting structure design.
2. Formulating functional purchase specifications and data sheets for mechanical system components, ensuring technical alignment with suppliers.
3. Managing external contractors and ensuring timely issuance of technical documentation.
4. Capturing lessons learned to improve design processes.
5. Providing technical support during plant erection.
6. Participating in organizational improvement initiatives and leading technical reviews.
7. Supporting decarbonization initiatives related to Mechanical system integration with test facilities and grid lines.

Fuel your passion

To succeed, you should have:

• A degree in Engineering (Energetic, Mechanical preferred) with 3-4 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Leadership skills to plan and oversee cross-functional programs.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical approach.
• Good knowledge of Mechanical System integration in turbomachinery plants.
• Fluency in English and Italian; ability to work within the EU.
