Valmet Italy is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join our team in Toscana. You will perform mechanical check out and commissioning for converting roll machines, maintain and service customer production equipment, and support testing phases at the customer site or remotely.

The role requires a technical diploma or degree in mechanical fields, 2–3 years of experience, and fluency in English and Italian. You will collaborate with the technical department, carry out maintenance, and contribute to

• Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or similar fields.
• 2–3 years of experience as Mechanical Technician in manufacturing industry; experience in converting industry is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office 365, SAP and CAD tools (2D-3D).

Mansioni

• Perform mechanical check out and commissioning for converting roll machines.
• Maintain and service customer production equipment according to Valmet procedures and safety processes.
• Provide prompt assistance to solve technical issues during testing phase and related to processes, machinery or tools at customer’s site or remotely.
• Carry out processes checks and quality control to improve product quality and propose improvement solutions to the customer.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on customer installations to ensure and optimise equipment performance.
• Proactively evaluate and suggest spare parts or improvements to the customer for equipment update.
• Carry out training to the customer’s site or in-house.
• Collaborate with the technical department for solve or improve technical solutions.
• Ensure the achievement of predefined objectives guaranteeing customer satisfaction within the agreed timeline.

To Succeed In This Role, You Should Have

• Technical school diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or similar fields
• 2-3 years of experience as Mechanical Technician in manufacturing industry, experience in converting industry is a plus
• Proficiency with MS Office 365, SAP and 2D-3D CAD
• Structured approach to complete tasks accordingly to targets and schedule
• Structured and systematic approach to execute given tasks

Location

• Salary Range: €36,000–€39,000 gross annual salary (RAL), with classification at C1–C3 level, depending on experience and qualifications.
• Employment Contract: Permanent employment under the Italian National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) for the Metalworking Industry and Plant Installation Sector (CNEL C011), as applied by Valmet Italy.
