Join our Lifecycle Engineering (LCE) team - your central hub of engineering support for Service and Construction across Southern Europe, MENA and Africa (South Africa, Kenya, Egypt, Morocco, Senegal).
Responsibilities
- Conduct field failure investigations by managing Component Incident Reports (CIR) for major mechanical parts. Dive into in-depth technical reports, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA), to enhance reliability and performance.
- Serve as a technical bridge between Vestas Service and the Research and Development (R&D) department at Vestas Wind Systems A/S, to facilitate continuous turbine performance optimization.
- Liaise with field technicians, suppliers, customers, and Continuous Improvement (CI) management and R&D teams to resolve mechanical component issues.
- Represent the mechanical team in customer meetings - presenting technical content clearly and professionally.
- Support the legal team with technical insights on mechanical component claims or disputes.
- Offer technical sales assistance for mechanical components, enabling informed choices for buyers.
- Maintain professional and technical know-how by attending workshops and staying up-to-date with industry publications.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of direct experience in evaluating mechanical systems of wind turbines.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and practical field experience are highly valued.
- Business-level fluency in English (written and spoken).

- Advanced analytical ability and solid experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Problem solving.
- Effective communicator with both technical teams and clients.
