Job Description:
- Manage mechanical and electro-mechanical components throughout all aspects of the development process.
- Design new components and integrate them into existing systems using the company’s Change Process to modify documentation and drawings.
- Manage design changes to existing systems, focusing on mistake correction, cost savings, and code compliance.
- Resolve design, manufacturing, testing, and quality issues; validate and release pre-series components and products to production.
- Ensure proposed design changes are understood and accepted by relevant departments for proper implementation.
- Support manufacturing, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical components.
- Support manufacturing lines through Standard Deviation Process for alternative solutions.
- Develop test plans, transfer test stands, and technologies to outsourcing suppliers.
- Evaluate and support second sourcing of alternate components requested by Supply Chain.
- Upgrade processes and equipment for EH&S, cycle time, and continuous quality improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or related engineering field.
- Electro-mechanical knowledge.
- Mechanical design experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis and Interim Action Containment.
- Proficient interpersonal skills with ability to lead and direct meetings effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple supplier concerns simultaneously.
