Descrizione del lavoro

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team. Working closely with R&D scientists, the successful candidate will actively work on integrating main process equipment into the plant layout. They will define the mechanical features of main process equipment, interact with potential suppliers, align technical offers, and follow up on orders until dispatch at the site. The role also involves supporting and directly working on the Plant 3D Model to define layouts and piping routings. Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to oversee the mechanical development of the pilot plant and analyze its performance for scalability.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Analyze plant mechanical feasibility through conceptual 3D models to verify performance, safety, and standards.
  2. Select static and rotating equipment, and develop related operating and maintenance procedures.
  3. Assist in defining constructability schemes and sequences.
  4. Develop project specifications, bid packages, and work execution plans.
  5. Align vendor offers, evaluate technical bids, and coordinate subcontractor work descriptions.
  6. Establish mechanical and piping design bases.
  7. Support the development of new company standards and calculation models.
  8. Integrate mechanical systems and manage the Pilot Plant 3D model.
  9. Perform piping stress analysis.
  10. Support permit applications by gathering data and submitting documentation.
  11. Follow up on technical aspects of orders directly with vendors.
  12. Assist in commissioning and startup activities.
  13. Collaborate with external partners, including research institutions.
Requirements:
  1. At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
  2. Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  3. Experience with material order follow-up and vendor relationships.
  4. Proficiency with CAD mechanical software (Solid Edge is a plus).
  5. Experience with AutoCAD LT and Office Suite.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills.
  7. Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
  8. Fluent in professional English.
  9. Enthusiastic about expanding technological expertise.
  10. Knowledge of vacuum systems and carbon capture technology is advantageous.
