Tyvak International is seeking new members to join their team to support space mission development.

We are looking for a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The candidate will contribute to the design of mechanical components and systems to be integrated in a variety of space vehicles following all phases of their development cycle, starting from the concept level up to system integration and launch. This role involves working in a highly multidisciplinary team to ensure that the designed systems meet all reliability and performance standards required to withstand the harsh environments of space. It is expected that the individual will have an ability and desire to learn, grow, and discover continuously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support requirements generation, accommodation, manufacturing and integration discussions
  • Work with multiple teams such as Electrical, Systems, Structural and Thermal Engineering to develop optimal solutions for complex design problems
  • Design mechanical components, structures and mechanisms for spacecraft systems
  • Develop detailed CAD models and prepare technical drawings oriented to manufacturing and chemical treatment application
  • Prepare and present technical documentation to support design reviews
  • Develop assembly and integration procedures at subsystem and system level
  • Provide engineering support to AIT phases by analyzing and solving HW non-conformances
  • Maintain and update the 3D models and drawings database


Requirements

  • BS or MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Recent graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of experience
  • Proven proficiency in working with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Proven ability in using Product Lifecycle Management tools (SolidWorks PDM preferred)
  • Strong mechanical background
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in applying advanced engineering principles
  • Basic understanding of materials, treatments and coatings selection principles
  • Ability to produce technical documentation
  • Ability to document complex designs and procedures with attention to details
  • Good communication with team members
  • Ability to provide and receive constructive criticism
  • Proficient use of written and oral English language


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous working experience within the Aerospace industry
  • Knowledge of standards such as ECSS or NASA for space systems
  • Knowledge of space environments including launch, radiation and thermal effects
  • Previous experience within Structural or Thermal Engineering domains
  • Hands-on experience with additive manufacturing
