Tennant Company in Cremona, Lombardy, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team. You will translate customer requirements into concrete technical concepts and contribute to product development through hands-on design and collaboration.

You will participate in all stages of the development cycle, design components, manage BOMs, support prototype-to-production transitions, and work with Quality Control, Operations and Moulding to ensure manufacturability and technical accuracy.

Competenze

• Requires technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge of Creo and Windchill.
• Previous experience in an R&D or Technical Office environment.

Purpose

The Mechanical Engineer will join our R&D team, working closely with a Senior R&D Mechanical Designer to develop innovative solutions for our product portfolio. The role begins with customer requirements and transforms them into concrete technical concepts to support product development. This position plays a key role in continuous improvement activities and contributes to the evolution of our technologies through hands-on design and collaboration.

General Responsibilities

You will actively participate in all phases of the product development cycle, including:

• Conducting initial studies, technical analyses, and feasibility assessments.
• Designing components and assemblies, supporting prototyping activities, and refining concepts.
• Managing Bills of Materials (BOM) and collaborating closely with suppliers.
• Supporting the transition from prototype to production, ensuring manufacturability and alignment with internal processes.
• Collaborating with the Quality Control team, Operations, and the Moulding Department to ensure consistency and technical accuracy throughout product development.

Required Experience & Education

• Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

The offer includes direct employment with the company on a permanent contract, with a gross annual salary ranging from €34,000 to €45,000.

The indicated salary range reflects the expected compensation for the role and is defined based on objective criteria related to the job, including responsibilities, scope, and market benchmarks. Placement within the range will depend on factors such as experience, qualifications, demonstrated capabilities, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for a competitive benefits package and applicable incentive programs.
