Mechanical Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team. Working closely with R&D scientists, the successful candidate will focus on integrating main process equipment into the plant layout, defining mechanical features, and interacting with suppliers. The role includes supporting the Plant 3D Model for layouts and piping, and overseeing the mechanical development of the pilot plant and its scalability.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Analyze plant mechanical feasibility using conceptual 3D models to ensure performance, safety, and standards compliance.
  2. Select static and rotating equipment, and define operating and maintenance procedures.
  3. Assist in defining constructability schemes and sequences.
  4. Develop project specifications, bid packages, and work execution plans.
  5. Align vendor offers, evaluate technical bids, and coordinate subcontractor descriptions.
  6. Establish mechanical and piping design bases.
  7. Support development of company standards and calculation models.
  8. Integrate mechanical systems and manage the Pilot Plant 3D model.
  9. Perform piping stress analysis.
  10. Support permit applications and submit documentation to authorities.
  11. Follow up on orders and coordinate with vendors for commissioning and startup.
  12. Collaborate with external partners, including research institutions.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  2. Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  3. Experience with material ordering, technical follow-up, and vendor relations.
  4. Proficiency with CAD mechanical software (Solid Edge is a plus), AutoCAD LT, and Office.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills.
  6. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  7. Fluency in professional English.
  8. Enthusiasm for expanding technological expertise.
  9. Knowledge of vacuum systems and carbon capture technology is advantageous.
