Global leader in agricultural automation in Italy's R&D team seeks a Mechanical Design & R&D Engineer to drive innovation in automated machinery for the fruit and vegetable sector. You will own mechanical development from concept to commissioning, create 3D models and manufacturing drawings, and collaborate with automation engineers across Italy, Spain, and China.

Must hold a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics with hands-on SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience; occasional travel

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Strong experience in automated machinery design, preferably custom/non-standard automation.

Mansioni

• Design and optimize automated systems for fruit & vegetable industry (handling, weighing, packing, palletizing).
• Lead product development projects—from concept through prototyping, testing, and field validation.
• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks; Creo Parametric is a plus.
• Collaborate with automation engineers on equipment integration, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Support prototype construction, industrial field testing, and data-driven problem-solving.
• Work with manufacturing teams and suppliers to ensure design-for-manufacturing and resolve assembly issues.
• Produce technical documentation, test reports, and R&D records.
