Job summary

AvioAero is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and support complex test rigs for engine programs, interfacing with cross-functional teams to ensure design intent and certification requirements are met. You will lead end-to-end mechanical design activities and coordinate with manufacturing and suppliers to guarantee on-time, quality hardware.

The role requires a Master’s in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering, strong CAD skills (NX, Teamcenter), and fluency in English and Italian,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in mechanical/aeronautical engineering.
• Experience in designing complex mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of mechanics of materials and design hand calculations.
• Familiar with NX and Teamcenter, 2D/3D CAD modelling.
• PLM basics and experience with stress analysis and dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Capture system requirements and translate them into test rig design definition.
• Design, analyze and evaluate mechanical test enabling hardware per standards and program needs.
• Develop new mechanical design concepts using CAD tools.
• Ensure alignment with certification requirements and project schedules.
• Document technical data in line with policies and participate in reviews.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and suppliers to guarantee on-time, quality hardware.
• Present or review technical material in program reviews.
