We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Piove di Sacco (PD), Italy!


Mechanical Design Engineer will be focused on Direct Expansion products for Data Center cooling. They will play a crucial role in the design of mechanical components and systems for our innovative products and they will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and performance specifications in compliance with industry regulations.

What kind of work will you be doing?

  • Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team on Direct Expansion cooling units for Data Center, focusing on high-performance, cost-effective design and market leading innovation.
  • Design new products or re-engineer existing ones, with a focus on the mechanical aspects (mainly sheet metal structures, pipelines), collaborating with suppliers, Procurement and Industrial Engineering, being aware of the necessary product marketing inputs.
  • Support product production transfer from and to other locations, interface with main center of expertise, understand and manage bill of materials.
  • Create and review product documentation (CAD drawings, specifications, customer’s submittals).
  • To meet objectives of cost, quality, environmental and time of execution, achieving the best trade-off between market and internal customer needs.
  • Analyze and resolve technical problems as regards products under his/her responsibility.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all regions to enhance global designs.

What will make you successful?

  • Technical Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Up to 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer, preferably in the HVAC industry.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of 3D CAD & PLM systems, particularly PTC Creo, Solid Edge, Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel).
  • Know-how of HVAC products is required.
  • Good knowledge of thermodynamics and refrigeration principles are desirable but not essential.
  • English –Good level – Written and spoken.
  • Competences: result-oriented, team player, careful to details, flexible, attitude for teamwork.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Initiative: works independently and is highly motivated to initiate and accept new challenges.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
