Overview

Mechanical Construction Supervisor (m/f/d) at JUWI Group. We are looking for an enthusiastic mechanical engineer to be site based across Italy. You will join our dynamic construction team that has built photovoltaic plants with a total capacity of 350 MW (MW) and are continuing to grow. We value innovative thinking, teamwork, and a passion for sustainability.

Your contribution to the energy transition

As our Mechanical Construction Supervisor, you will be responsible for on-site supervision of Mechanical (Post, Rack and Modules) construction works on solar PV EPC projects in Italy. This includes full responsibility for technical, environmental and safety compliance, quality, schedule, and integration control.

You can look forward to the following tasks:

  • Reporting to the Construction Manager and the Construction Team Leader; collaborate with Project Purchasing & Logistics, System Design, Specialists, Consultants, Suppliers, Subcontractors, and the Client to ensure compliant project execution.
  • Define project/trade purpose and scope; calculate resources required; establish standards and protocols; allocate resources; schedule and coordinate subcontractors and staff; evaluate milestone assumptions and conclusions; evaluate and implement change orders via the Construction Manager.
  • Inspect, supervise and report on construction activities in conformance with drawings, specifications, schedules, procedures, quality requirements and safety standards in line with company procedures, legislation, standards, and industry best practice.
  • Manage supplier and subcontractor construction & commissioning; implement KPIs; monitor (trade) schedule and quality performance against baselines; raise NCRs through Construction Manager and implement corrective action.
  • Ensure full compliance with QHSE regulations, legislation, standards, codes and requirements in Italy.
  • Manage contractual trade schedule and payment milestones; prepare and compile documentation.
  • Prepare daily construction reports & records; prepare and review work procedures, QCPs and ITPs.
  • Support Logistics team with on-site material distribution and inspection of incoming goods.
Qualifications

You impress us with these qualifications:

  • Civil / Mechanical Engineering background.
  • Minimum of 5 years construction supervision experience in Mechanical infrastructure projects; 2 years utility-scale solar PV plants experience.
  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Proven track record of completing construction on time, safely, and in compliance with technical & quality requirements and standards.
  • Experience managing Subcontractors to stringent time and quality metrics.
  • Fluent with construction management tools and MS Office, etc.
  • Knowledge of construction, labour, environmental and safety requirements and legislation.
  • Fluent in English and Italian.
