Job summary

Quest Global seeks a Mechanical CAD Design Engineer for the aviation domain, based in the Brindisi area in Italy. The role involves onboarding to acquire customer product knowledge, CAD skills, and our methodologies, with increasing autonomy in project activities.

Responsibilities include modeling mechanical components and assemblies, drafting, and adhering to customer procedures. The candidate should hold a mechanical engineering degree, have 1–3 years CAD experience, and be fluent in English

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering.
• 1-3 years’ experience in CAD modeling and detailing using UG NX10.
• Experience with Teamcenter 11.
• Experience creating 3D models and drawings.
• Experience with engineering bill of materials creation, update and modification.
• Knowledge of manufacturing drawings creation and drawing reading skills.
• Knowledge of geometric and dimension tolerances (GD&T).
• Fluent in English and Italian.

Role overview

The selected resource - going through an intense onboarding process aimed at developing appropriate customer products’ knowledge, working methodologies and CAD skills - will be directly engaged in the engineering project activities, with increasing levels of autonomy and responsibility.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in creating 3D models & drawings;
• Experience with engineering bill of material creation, update and modification;
• Knowledge of manufacturing drawings creation, and drawing reading skills;
• Knowledge of the geometric & dimension tolerances;
• Familiarity/understanding of industry codes and standards such as ASME Y14.5;
• Fluent in English and Italian.
