Fendi in Fermo, Italy is seeking a Materials Research Specialist to support the Shoes Product Development Office. You will handle materials research for leather and fabrics, aligning stylistic and production needs with quality standards.

The role requires at least 5 years in fashion, strong knowledge of materials and production processes, and fluency in Italian and English. Collaborative work with design, quality, and suppliers is key, with a competitive salary and benefits.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion/Product Management or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in the role and in the fashion industry.
• Experience in leather industrialization is a plus.
• Excellent knowledge of materials (Leather and Fabric) and production processes.
• Strong attention to new trends and research.

Mansioni

• Collaborate with the style office for the stylistic trends and to check research results.
• Materials research and development.
• Define a raw materials development specification.
• Collaborate with Quality Department to define technical aspects and testing for raw materials and to verify compliance.
• Use the database to register the technical data sheets of materials shared with suppliers.
• Monitor the orders of samples leather.
• Control the quality and follow the industrialization of raw materials.
• Anticipating and managing production issues, proposing solutions when required.
