GE Vernova's Aero Alliance Avenza Service Shop in Italy seeks a Material Specialist Intern to support direct material management for six months, with possible extension.

You will place and follow up on purchase orders, manage quotations, and interact with suppliers while supporting process standardization. Fluency in English and strong Excel skills are required.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Fluency in English, in writing and speaking.
• Good knowledge of Excel.
• Procurement and Sourcing interest.
• Negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers, internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Be flexible in a dynamic environment.

Job Description Summary

Material Specialist Intern will support management of direct material for Aero Alliance Avenza Service Shop (Italy). They will report to the Material Procurement Leader in the Material and Planning Avenza Shop organization.

This role has a duration of 6 months, with the possibility to be extended for additional 6 months.

Job Description

As Material Specialist Intern, you support the team in:

• management of direct material (new and repaired) request, placing and following up on purchase orders.
• quotation management (technical & commercial approval) and follow up with vendor to check the status of PO.
• managing relationships with suppliers for PO execution, scheduling changes and updating ERP.
• Support the team in the standardization of the processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent from an accredited university
