A leading electric motor manufacturer is seeking a Material Planner for its plant in Casalmaggiore (CR). Responsibilities include managing the planning process, issuing purchase orders, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure material availability. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably with a degree in Management Engineering and knowledge of SAP. Good English skills and strong soft skills are essential for success in this role.

NIDEC FIR INTERNATIONAL Srl, a company belonging to a Japanese multinational group leader in the design and production of ELECTRIC MOTORS with a strong presence in the foreign market, is looking for its Casalmaggiore (CR) plant a MATERIAL PLANNER.

Main Responsibilities
  • Management of the Materials Planning process: validates the system proposals and issues purchase orders, ensures that suppliers provide order confirmations and updates delivery dates;
  • Solicits purchase orders according to the agreed logic, continuously monitors expired and backlogs by interfacing with the Production Planning function and the Purchasing Office to manage exceptions;
  • Verifies the availability of materials to meet the production plan, managing process exceptions;
  • Performs the relevant reporting and shares information relevant to the correct management of processes with internal and external suppliers;
  • Monitors the relevant KPIs, managing deviations and implementing actions to improve the level of service in compliance with the Supply Chain constraints;
  • Analyzes the stock for the relevant commodities, implementing and following the necessary stock reduction actions;
  • Manages MPS/Supplier Forecast and requirements arising from S&OP and statistical and forecasting tools, with the aim of generating orders and delivery plans for long lead time materials.
Requirements
  • Previous experience of at least 2 years in the role in manufacturing companies;
  • Desiderable Degree in Management Engineering or a related field;
  • Preferably SAP knowledge;
  • Good knowledge of English.
