Position Summary

The purpose of this role is to be the primary interface for Item and Operations master data entry and management for HEM Europe. Operations data relates to the Formula, Routing, and Recipe data tables. This role will ensure a high standard of data quality is maintained in Oracle EBS that is in alignment with the HEM Global Standards and supports business sustainability and maturation.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Primary point of contact for master data updates, which includes creation of new, update of existing, and inactivation of data attributes as required by the business and in alignment with documented business rules and standard processes
• Subject Matter Expert in Oracle Master Data table structure, attributes, and maintenance of policies and procedures, most specifically the Item Master, Formulas, Routings, and Recipes
• Helps to identify, report, analyze, and resolve data issues related to uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency, and completeness
• Support data translation efforts as a component of Oracle implementation projects
• Update master data as requested by the business
• Ensure master data changes are implemented in a timely manner (service-level agreement is implementation within 24 hours, depending on thoroughness of the initial data request)
• Monitor master data accuracy for Oracle’s Item Master, Formula, Routing, and Recipe master data tables. Additional data requirements may be added as new tools and business requirements change.
• Manage master data audits semi-annually; consolidate the list of inactivation candidates, request and obtain approvals from business owners, and implement the required updates
• Coordinate master data updates associated with the annual Operating Plan and Budgeting (OPB) process; initiate review, consolidate update requests, and implement changes in alignment with the OPB schedule as directed by Finance
• Support Oracle implementation projects by providing guidance and consultation regarding master data translations; may participate more heavily in the projects as required

Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills

• Change management. This role works cross-functionally and will need to enforce adherence to policies and procedures
• This role will have to influence team members without direct management responsibility
• The level of attention-to-detail required for this position is high with an expectation of minimal errors
• Requires understanding of data table relationships and impacts of data changes
• Ability to work autonomously, identify and problem solve where necessary
• Develop strong and effective working relationships with internal customers and Supply Chain support organizations
• Identify and recommend Supply Chain process and performance improvement opportunities
• Obtain appropriate approvals and implement changes in the master data tables

Requirements

• Experience in master data management and data integrity
• Cross-functional knowledge throughout the supply chain (manufacturing, distribution, planning, sourcing and supply, transportation)
• Excellent problem identification and follow through to issue resolution
• Can work with data to identify problems
• Proven attention to detail and objective problem solving
• Must have strong organization skills and be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work responsibilities with sense of urgency to meet deadlines
• Expertise in ERP software systems maintenance
• Good understanding of HEM businesses, customers, and operations practices
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• High level of attention to detail
• Evidence of strong character with integrity, honesty, accountability, and trust
• High School diploma required. College degree preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in master data management, ERP maintenance, and/or data analysis
• Knowledge of English, German as a plus
