The Italian Liver Foundation is seeking Postdoctoral researchers to contribute to key research areas, including liver diseases and translational research. Candidates must hold a PhD and meet specific eligibility criteria. Interested individuals should submit their CV and research proposal by July 10, 2025.

About the organization: Fondazione Italiana Fegato ONLUS - Italian Liver Foundation NPO is a non-profit research organization focused on molecular research related to the liver and its diseases (Translational Hepatology). FIF collaborates with various national and international scientific organizations.

Position: We are recruiting Postdoctoral researchers to engage in one of the four major research areas of FIF:

1. Molecular events of bilirubin-brain interplay
2. Development of new in vitro tools to study rare liver diseases
3. Molecular aspects of MASLD and its complications
4. Translational Research in Liver Cancer: Biomarkers, Therapies, and Tumor Heterogeneity
5. Genome Engineering & Biotechnology in liver diseases

The selected candidate will define their research plan in consultation with a senior researcher supervisor.

MSCA-PF eligibility criteria:

Interested candidates should submit their expressions of interest by emailing [e-mail] by July 10, 2025, including:

• A CV
• A short research proposal (no more than 1 page)

The deadline for submitting full proposals is September 10, 2025. The internal deadline at the Italian Liver Foundation is approximately two weeks earlier, on August 25, 2025.

Eligibility to apply:

• Citizens of any country, regardless of nationality, age, or gender
• Holders of a PhD (by the application deadline)
• Researchers with no more than eight years of research experience from the date of their PhD award
• Researchers who have not lived or worked in Italy for more than 12 months within the last 3 years prior to the call launch
