Mapping Operator Responsibilities

Operators must reside in the mapping area.

Operate mapping vehicles with care, adhering to all traffic and highway rules.

Work effectively as part of a mapping team.

Follow instructions from the Project Manager and execute work missions accordingly.

Evening and weekend data collection may be required.

Perform daily vehicle and equipment checks, reporting issues to the manager.

Handle equipment carefully, being mindful of vehicle height and low-hanging objects like trees.

Securely park the vehicle to protect equipment and the vehicle itself.

Follow security protocols and manager instructions.

Maintain confidentiality of project data.

Keep required logs as directed by the Project Manager.

Operate and monitor sensor equipment daily.

Troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.

Possess legal work authorization (citizenship, residence card, or valid work visa—excluding student visas).

Hold a valid driver’s license for the relevant state or country.

Manage time effectively and work well in a team.

Listen to managers and complete tasks efficiently.

Have basic technical skills with maps, phones, and tablets.

Follow technical instructions logically.

Understand the local road network.

Communicate effectively and prepare reports for managers.

Be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, with bending and twisting.

Maintain honest, open, and transparent communication.

Meet the requirements of legal citizenship, residence, or work authorization without restrictions.

Minimum Requirements

Some expertise in motor vehicle mechanics.

At least four years of driving experience, including long-distance driving.

Preferred to be 25 years or older, but will consider relevant experience.

Ability to understand security protocols.

Follow instructions and escalate issues appropriately.

Experience with iOS devices and technical savvy.

Ability to work long hours under stress.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Pass a 5 or 7 Panel Drug Screen and consent to random testing.

Pass a background check.

Fluent English speaker.

Desired Skills

Basic car knowledge.

Ability to climb a small ladder for roof-mounted cameras.

Knowledge of smartphone use.

Dependable, reliable, and creative.

Timeline

Training begins around March 17th; project starts March 24th, 2025.

Temporary employment until late May or early June 2025, with possible schedule adjustments.

Job Type

Temporary, contractor position.

Pay & Compensation

€10.00/hour + 1.5x overtime (paid monthly).

Company vehicle provided.

Gas card included.

Reimbursable expenses with receipts.
