About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Milan within the Engineering Department, the Shift Technician is responsible for the maintenance of the hotel. The Shift Technician reports to the department manager.

Shift Technician responsibilities include:

• Work independently on guest room requests and on guest floors
• Carry out routine checks and maintenance work for the hotel
• Assist in updating work order status and record in the computer accordingly
• Communicate with departments or relevant parties regarding work status
• Obtain Certificate of First Aid and mandatory Security training

Candidate requirements:

• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Specialization in Plumbing, Air Conditioning Engineering, Painting & Decoration is an advantage
• Strong technical knowledge in property maintenance
• Proficiency in English and Italian
• Experience in hotel or guest services is advantageous
• Good communication skills with colleagues and clients
