A leading company in electrical solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to enhance productivity through effective manufacturing practices. The role involves collaboration with R&D, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and implementing process improvements. Candidates should have relevant experience and strong communication skills.
The Manufacturing Technician ensures that production processes are consistently available and optimally uses best manufacturing practices to develop products, equipment and tooling to improve manufacturing efficiency. This position is bridging between the operations and R&D department, which is key to designing new products and processes required for productivity improvements.
You will apply sound manufacturing principals to support processes including machine design & modifications, control upgrades, integrate automation where appropriate and capital equipment introductions
Create work instructions related to the process steps and flow: develops, evaluates, maintains, and documents efficient manufacturing processes consistent with designated manufacturing practices
Collaborate with Operations, Quality and R&D to develop new tooling and fixtures, and direct operations department work load. Recommends revisions related to methods of operation, material handling, alteration in equipment layout, or other changes to increase production and/or improve standards.
Develop, write, and execute capital equipment requests and leads project installation and qualifications.
Support development of new manufacturing capabilities via advanced manufacturing principles that improve quality and productivity. Creates process improvements to increase product flow and reduce cycle times.
Actively participate in the facility’s daily processes on the shopfloor to assure alignment of operational priorities with R&D activities
Support EHS and Quality department as needed to maintain compliance with local and corporate requirements
YOU HAVE:
Ideally 3+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment with emphasis on manufacturing and/or maintenance. Lean Manufacturing basics are preferred.
Advance English spoken and written skills
Able to read 3D model and technical drawings, good knowledge of standard systems and processes.
High School or equivalent
You are a great communicator that acts with expertise and clarity with all relevant team members, both locally and internationally!
