Job summary

Avio Aero is seeking a Production Supervisor for the gears production area in Rivalta di Torino. You will organize shifts, oversee overtime, and guide production staff to meet schedules, quality, and EHS standards.

You will implement 5S, lean initiatives, and partner with HR and Cell Leaders to drive continuous improvement. A part-time 30-hour weekly schedule is required, with fixed weekend shifts and EU work eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School Technical Diploma required.
• Fluent in Italian.
• Ability to read technical drawings and understand inspection and quality control basics.
• Prior team-leading experience is a plus.
• EU work permit required.
• Availability for a 30-hour weekly part-time schedule with fixed weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Solve problems and make decisions affecting production flow and short- to mid-term objectives.
• Provide direction to production staff, assign work, organize shifts, schedule overtime, and provide training.
• Review daily activities to meet production schedules, customer satisfaction, cost goals, on-time delivery, and maintain high EHS standards.
• Ensure compliance with EHS rules and requirements.
• Maintain a Visual Workplace and support 5S, project boards, and training status boards.
• Support HR policies including attendance and safety objectives.
• Collaborate with Cell Leaders to drive continuous process improvement and strong team performance.
• Assist Lean/Material mgmt. teams on process improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time and losses.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

The Gears Production Supervisor will leverage experience and technical expertise to:

• solve problems and take decisions on production flow with impact on short- and medium-term objectives
• Provide direction and guidance to production employees, including work assignments, shifts organization, scheduling of overtime, and training
• Review daily activities to achieve the production schedules, customer satisfaction, cost goals, on time delivery, maintaining, at the same time, the highest standards of quality and achieving the highest EHS levels in the assigned area, for all products under his/her responsibility
• Ensure full compliance to EHS rules and requirements, according with duties and responsibilities provided by law
• Maintain and further develop a Visual Workplace including support for a 5-S program, active project boards, performance measure charts, and training program status boards
• Support all company workplace policies including attendance and safety objectives
• Work with HR to develop a performance-oriented work environment encompassing timely performance appraisals, reviews for new employees, and timely disciplinary action when warranted.
• Assist Cell Leader to make decisions in areas of process improvement and/or production to make appropriate resource decisions (manpower, fixtures, methods, scheduling) to facilitate the flow of units through the process
• Support Lean/Material mgmt. teams on process improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, improve inventory turns and reduce manufacturing losses

Essential Requirements

• High School Technical Diploma
• Solid experience as a Team leader or previous experience in a Supervisor role in a Manufacturing industry
• Fluent in Italian
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications and basic knowledge of systems for inspection and quality control
• A prior experience as Team Leader will be a plus
• EU work permit
• Availability to work a 30-hour weekly part-time schedule with fixed weekend shifts is required

Salary range for this role:

34,875.00 - 52,312.50 EUR Annual + Performance-related bonus + PDR up to 6000 euro

Compensation will be defined within the published salary range, reflecting the candidate’s experience, developed skills, and overall alignment with the role’s responsibilities.
