TE Connectivity seeks a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to safeguard product quality in manufacturing, drive real-time defect prevention, and resolve issues with a cross-functional team.

Ideal candidate has a master's degree in engineering and 2+ years in quality for connectors/molding/cable assembly, with strong APQP/PPAP and problem-solving skills.

Competenze

  • Master degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Quality within connector, molding or cable assembly.
  • Knowledge of APQP/PPAP, FMEA, CP, MSA, SPC, R&R and 8D.

Mansioni

  • Support quality assurance activities in manufacturing focusing on real-time defect prevention and problem resolution.
  • Lead 8D meetings with a multidisciplinary team to resolve customer claims and internal critical issues.
  • Achieve and maintain IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 certifications with no NCs; support audits.
  • Lead scrap improvement action plans and ensure control plans and PFMEA are up to date.
  • Prepare and submit PPAP documentation; ensure all elements (DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, PSW) are complete.
  • Identify and mitigate risks during project transfer or launch; document lessons learned.

Job Description:

Job Overview

Supports quality assurance activities within manufacturing, focusing on real-time defect prevention and problem resolution.

Your main tasks
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and meet their expectations in terms of quality, certifications, and reactivity within the delivery plan.
  • Ensure deployment of quality indicators and targets in manufacturing area.
  • Receive and lead 8D meetings to solve customer claim / internal critical issues with the inputs of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Achieve IATF 16949 and maintain / ISO 9001 certification audits without NCs.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Lead Scrap improvement action plan.
  • Ensure the update and the compliance with control plans and PFMEA.
  • Prepare and submit PPAP documentation to customer.
  • Ensure all elements (DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, PSW, etc.) are complete.
  • Identify and mitigate risks during project transfer or launch.
  • Document lessons learned for future projects.
Your ideal Background

Master degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering , or related field

At least 2 years of experience within connector, Molding or cable assembly, in Quality department

Working Knowledge on specific product and process is a plus (e.g., Molding)

  • Be familiar with the tools related to supplier APQP process, include but not limit to APQP, PPAP, FMEA, CP, MSA, SPC, R@R and 8D.
  • Thorough knowledge of Problem-Solving tools
  • Process Auditor Skills mandatory
  • SAP basic knowledge is a plus
