Your role

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our plant in Lauriano. With strong technical knowledge, the successful candidate will define and promote projects for continuous improvement of methods and technologies in the Frames production plant.

The main goals of the MFG Engineer – Methods & Technology include analyzing production processes and initiating projects to optimize performance, quality, OEE, and service levels. The engineer will define and implement actions to resolve technical issues, focus on standardizing activities, support new product introductions, and collaborate with the Automation department to identify critical process needs.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical support, guidance, and direction to improve technologies, processes, and equipment reliability, supporting capacity and quality improvements.
  2. Assist in organizing and managing manufacturing workflows and resources.
  3. Propose upgrades to systems and processes using new technologies or materials.
  4. Support daily manufacturing operations and translate technical knowledge to functional teams, including training.
  5. Utilize lean tools and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance machine performance.
  6. Support the definition, introduction, and ramp-up of new equipment features.
  7. Guide standardization of processes and materials across shifts, plants, and regions, including international benchmarking programs.
  8. Collaborate with the Quality department to develop quality control plans to sustain operations and ensure product quality.
  9. Develop and oversee procedures to meet quality standards.
  10. Work with other departments, contractors, and suppliers.
Main Requirements
  1. 4-5 years of experience in a technical role within manufacturing plants, with both automated and manual processes; knowledge of machine architecture is a plus.
  2. Strong knowledge of technological processes for plastic and metal materials.
  3. Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools, problem solving.
  4. Understanding of production KPIs such as efficiency, OEE, and related financial metrics.
  5. Project management skills including time and stakeholder management.
  6. Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
