Your role

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our plant in Lauriano. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge and will define and promote projects for continuous improvement of methods and technologies in the Frames production plant.

The MFG Engineer - Methods & Technology will analyze production processes and activate projects to optimize performance, including capability, OEE, quality, and service levels. They will define and implement actions to address technical issues and focus on standardizing activities. Supporting the introduction of new products and collaborating with the Automation department to identify critical process needs will also be key responsibilities.

Main responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support, guidance, and direction to improve technologies, processes, and equipment reliability to support capacity, capability, and quality improvements.
  • Support organization and management of manufacturing workflows and resources.
  • Propose upgrades to systems and processes with new technology or materials.
  • Support day-to-day manufacturing operations and translate technical knowledge into functional groups and training.
  • Leverage lean tools and Six Sigma methodologies to improve machine performance.
  • Support the definition, introduction, and ramp-up of new equipment features.
  • Guide standardization of processes and materials across shifts, plants, and regions, including international benchmarking.
  • Partner with the Quality department to develop quality control plans to sustain operations and product quality.
  • Develop and implement procedures and methods to meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments, contractors, and suppliers.
Main requirements:
  • 4-5 years of experience in a technical manufacturing role involving automated and manual processes; knowledge of machine architecture is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of technological processes for plastic and metal materials.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools, problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of production KPIs such as efficiency, OEE, and consumption metrics.
  • Project management skills, including time and stakeholder management.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.
