Manager, Retail Analytics

Work Location and Schedule

Location: Chicago (Remote flexibility available)

The Retail Analytics Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing data-driven insights to support retail execution across multiple channels, including Walmart, grocery, and convenience stores. This role will lead performance tracking, scorecard development, and automation efforts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals for sales growth, retail execution, and ROI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Retail Performance Measurement & Scorecards: Develop and maintain industry-standard retail scorecards for Direct Retail, Walmart & Grocery Brokers, and Convenience Brokers, incorporating KPIs. Implement benchmarks and goals aligned with industry standards and company priorities. Ensure scorecards provide actionable insights for broker managers, account teams, and leadership.
  • Retail Execution & Optimization: Partner with Broker Managers to ensure data-driven decision-making around execution priorities. Track new item cut-ins across channels. Develop KPIs for store-level execution, including distribution gaps, display execution, and sales impact. Support performance tracking for Direct Retail, including incremental sales and productivity. Establish an ROI measurement framework to assess retail team effectiveness.
  • Data & Automation Initiatives: Lead collaboration with IT and Data Teams to automate reporting processes. Drive efficiency by reducing manual work and integrating real-time analytics. Identify and implement new tools to enhance reporting accuracy. Work with Broker Managers and Account Teams to enable prioritization through KPIs. Develop feedback loops to ensure insights improve retail execution. Participate in weekly/monthly account meetings to align data priorities.
  • Budget & Strategic Planning: Support retail execution budgets and identify areas to improve spend efficiency and maximize ROI through data insights.

  • Understanding of retail dynamics in Walmart, grocery, and convenience sectors.
  • Experience working with retail data, POS data, and merchandising tracking.
  • Ability to interpret data into insights for cross-functional teams.
  • Project management and automation experience.

Salary Range: $110,000 to $153,000
