The Manager Finance & Tax Italy is responsible for overseeing daily financial operations, financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities within the Italian legal entity/entities. This role does not include controlling responsibilities but plays a pivotal role in ensuring financial compliance, audit readiness, and alignment with internal and external regulatory frameworks.

The ideal candidate will bring experience from publicly listed companies and demonstrate strong leadership in managing a team of finance professionals. The role also includes coordination with AGCO entities outside Italy and third-party service providers to ensure harmonized financial processes and compliance.

Your Impact

  • Financial Management: Oversee daily financial activities, including managing cash flow, preparing balance sheets, and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements.

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Provide financial insights to senior management to assist in decision-making and strategic initiatives.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports regularly to senior management, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements for publicly listed companies.

  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and optimize the company’s cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for operations and capital expenditures.

  • Compliance & Audit: Ensure adherence to both local and international accounting principles and financial regulations. Liaise with internal and external auditors, particularly in the context of public company reporting.

  • Strategic Financial Support: Collaborate with senior management to analyze financial data, supporting strategic decisions regarding investments, resource allocation, and business expansion.

  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Ensure close collaborations with support functions outside of Italy.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and improvements within the finance function to support the company’s growth objectives.

  • Oversee tax regulations and tax declarations and tax audits

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or Master’s in Finance is a plus).

  • At least 8 years of experience in financial management, with a strong background in publicly listed companies.

  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage, mentor, and develop a finance team.

  • Experience in publicly listed companies: Strong understanding of the financial and regulatory reporting requirements for public companies, including compliance with IFRS and local financial regulations.

  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and Excel.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex financial data.

  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

  • Experience in manufacturing industry, particularly in capital-intensive businesses.

  • Familiarity with financial reporting and compliance standards required for publicly listed companies.

  • Strong project management and multitasking skills in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

  • Proficient in English

  • Experience in tax management
