Malwarebytes in Perugia, Italy, is seeking a Malware Research Engineer to join our ThreatDown research team on-site. You will defend customers by writing detection signatures and contributing to protection technologies, focusing on real-world malware threats and rapid response.

You will investigate threats, classify domains and IPs, and collaborate with researchers and developers to improve detection and protection capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in malware research and reverse engineering.
• Ability to research and classify threats, domains, and IPs.
• Comfort with emulated/virtual environments (VMware/Hyper-V).
• Strong communication and teamwork in a security-focused environment.

Responsabilités

• Process threat feeds and write detection signatures for multiple tech stacks.
• Investigate and resolve customer inquiries related to protection and usability.
• Conduct research and threat hunting for current cyber threats affecting customers.
• Provide feedback on new projects and tools used in daily work.
• Support content creation such as threat descriptions, blogs, and presentations.
