Job summary

IL Cosmetics Group is seeking a Makeup Formulation Engineer in Romanengo (CR), Italy. You will develop new cosmetic formulations (powders, foundations, concealers, mascara) to meet marketing briefs and client needs.

You will improve existing formulas, develop new shades, and monitor physico-chemical controls while supporting daily lab operations and supplier collaboration. Fluency in English and Italian is required, with some international travel expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in cosmetic formulation or related field.
• Proven experience in cosmetic formulation is required.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop new formulations meeting marketing and client briefs (powder, foundation, concealer, mascara, etc.).

• Monitor physico-chemical controls and packaging compatibility.
• Conduct technical watch and trend analysis.
• Assist with industrial transposition and daily lab operations.

Makeup Formulation Engineer – Romanengo (CR)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developing new formulations that meet marketing and/or client briefs (Powder, Foundation, Concealer, Mascara, etc.).
• Improving existing formulas.
• Developing new shades.
• Monitoring physico-chemical controls and packaging compatibility.
• Conducting technological watch and trend analysis.
• Assisting with industrial transposition.
• Contributing to daily laboratory operations.
• Participating in supplier meetings and industry trade shows.

Profile

• Minimum Master’s degree (Bac +5), ideally in cosmetic formulation.
• Proven Experience In Cosmetic Formulation Is Essential.
• Curious, autonomous, and creative, with a passion for innovation and emerging beauty trends.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Italian.
• Availability for occasional international travel (trade fairs, supplier meetings, etc.).
