The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and at least 3 years of experience in a luxury hotel setting. We are looking for a Maître d'Hôtel for the next season (spring / summer 2025) to join the team at our restaurants.

The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality and comfortable with challenges. He / She should have exceptional taste and exemplary customer service skills.

The Maître runs the dining room operations. As well as managing the work of the front of the house brigade, he / she is also responsible for customer relations and ensuring that customers receive impeccable service at all times.

He / She reports to the Restaurant Manager.

Responsibilities

1. Anticipate guests’ needs and handle guest complaints, providing an excellent and personalized guest experience in line with our service standards.
2. Cooperate with the Restaurant Manager for staff development; manage staff in everyday operations according to our standards and procedures.
3. Maintain a professional relationship with guests and colleagues.

Requirements

1. Effective communication, emotional intelligence, and adaptability.
2. Collaboration: be a role model for teamwork, and proactively help others.
3. Drive results: set clear goals and expectations and maximize resource allocation to achieve them.
4. Global perspective: treat everyone with respect and inclusiveness regardless of position, level, or background.
5. Capable of advising on best selling prices and reviewing them regularly according to the Restaurant Manager’s instructions.

Other Requirements

1. Minimum 3 years’ experience in the same role in the luxury hotel industry.
2. Fluent in English and Italian; a third language is desirable.
3. Experience preferably at an international level in a fine dining restaurant.
4. Professional knowledge of Italian cuisine and Italian & International wines.
5. HACCP certification.

Belmond and You

1. We offer a seasonal Labour contract according to C.C.N.L. Settore Turismo - Level 3, Maître.
2. Start date: April 2025; end date: November 2025, with potential for ongoing collaboration in subsequent seasons and career development.
3. Monthly gross salary around €2,350, based on seniority and skill level, with separate payslips for 13th, 14th month, and TFR.
4. Monthly welfare incentives based on quality goals + welcome bonus.
5. Accommodation in staff house including breakfast.
6. Bus ticket benefit for the contract period; staff canteen available.
