Quickparts Italy is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure operational continuity across a multi-technology facility. You will perform preventive, routine, and breakdown maintenance on 3D printing, CNC machining, injection moulding, and vacuum casting equipment, collaborating with Production and Quality teams.

You will drive improvements, manage CMMS-based maintenance planning, and coordinate external contractors while upholding health and safety standards.

Competenze

• Technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years experience in industrial maintenance in advanced manufacturing environments.
• Experience with at least one AM technology (SLA, SLS, DLP, DMP) preferred.
• Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics in Italian and English.

• Carry out preventive, routine, and breakdown maintenance on 3D printing machines (SLA, SLS, DLP, DMP).
• Manage the Preventive Maintenance Plan in line with manufacturer cycles and parameters.
• Diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems and minimise downtime.
• Calibrate process parameters and manage AM spare parts inventory with procurement.
• Coordinate with OEMs and service providers for specialist interventions.
• Maintain CNC machining centres, injection moulding presses, and vacuum casting systems.
• Ensure operation of facility systems (electrical, pneumatic, HVAC, process fluids).
• Supervise external contractors and maintenance providers.
• Ensure health and safety compliance (Legislative Decree 81/2008) and PPE/workshop safety.
• Update fault reports and maintenance documentation in the ticketing system.
• Participate in continuous improvement, RCA, and maintenance KPIs.

Quickparts is hiring a Maintenance Technician to ensure the operational continuity and efficiency of our entire Italy facility. You will be responsible for preventive, routine, and breakdown maintenance across all production systems, including 3D printing, CNC machining, injection moulding, and vacuum casting. You will work closely with the Production Manager, Quality Manager, and Department Team Leaders, actively contributing to continuous improvement and cost‑saving initiatives.

What You’ll Do

• Carry out preventive, routine, and breakdown maintenance on 3D printing machines (SLA, SLS, DLP, and DMP systems)
• Manage the Preventive Maintenance Plan in line with manufacturer-specified cycles and parameters
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, electronic, and optical faults on production systems and respond promptly to minimise downtime
• Calibrate machine process parameters and manage the Additive Manufacturing spare parts inventory, collaborating with procurement
• Liaise with OEMs and technical service providers (e.g., 3D Systems, EOS, Stratasys, Desktop Metal) for specialist interventions
• Perform maintenance on CNC machining centres, injection moulding presses, and vacuum casting systems
• Ensure the correct operation of general facility systems (electrical, pneumatic, air conditioning, process fluids)
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors and maintenance providers
• Verify compliance with health and safety regulations (Legislative Decree 81/2008) and manage PPE and workshop safety procedures
• Manage fault reports through the internal ticketing system and update technical plant documentation
• Participate in continuous improvement projects, Root Cause Analysis, and monitor maintenance KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, machine availability, costs)
• Support the implementation of predictive maintenance practices (condition monitoring, vibration analysis, thermography)

What We’re Looking For

• Technical diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance roles, preferably in advanced or high-technology manufacturing environments
• In-depth knowledge of at least one 3D printing technology (SLA, SLS, DLP, DMP) with direct hands‑on experience highly preferred
• Solid mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic maintenance skills on industrial machinery
• Working knowledge of CNC systems (3/5-axis) and associated maintenance; familiarity with injection moulding/vacuum casting is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics and technical documentation in Italian and English
• Familiarity with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS / GMAO) and maintenance planning tools
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations (Legislative Decree 81/2008)
• Strong problem-solving mindset, flexibility to work outside normal hours for breakdowns, and a results-oriented approach
• Technical-level English (ability to read manuals and communicate with international suppliers)
• Specific technical certifications on AM systems (e.g., 3D Systems Certified Technician, EOS Service Training) are a strong advantage
