Job Description

Moorings Park is looking for a Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the normal upkeep and repair of all aspects of the buildings, including independent and community apartments, villas, health center and interior or exterior community property/grounds.

Contributions:

1. Perform assigned maintenance duties and routine preventive maintenance. Identify deficiencies and follow procedure for correcting problems.
2. Maintain all tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition, and notify supervisors to ensure adequate replacements are available as needed.
3. Assist with refurbishment projects and repairs.
4. Complete work within scheduled time frame, according to budget and priority set by supervisor.
5. Install, finish, repair, paint, remove and dispose of drywall or other material.
6. Pick up and deliver supplies.
7. Operate maintenance equipment not limited to hand or power tools, company vehicles, golf carts, etc.
8. Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, vendors, suppliers, and city, state and federal officials as required, either in person, by phone, in writing, or via radio.
9. Provide data for maintenance reports as requested.
10. Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintain knowledge of and follow all company policies and procedures.
11. Obtain knowledge and demonstrate the principles of Moorings Park, person directed care and successful aging philosophies and their inherent core values of commitment, respect, compassion, dedication, teamwork and quality. Team member will support, actively participate, and act in accordance with the principles of the Moorings Park service culture and be familiar with and fluent in the service pillars of Moorings.

Job Requirements:

1. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English required.
2. During emergencies or natural disasters, may be required to be on duty for the duration of the disaster.
3. High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational or technical education.
4. A minimum of one year’s experience working in building maintenance or construction.
5. Certification, license or equivalent as required under state and/or local regulation to operate or repair certain equipment.
6. A state issued driver’s license with a driving record clear of infractions as defined by current insurance mandates.
