Amazon is hiring for a Maintenance Supervisor to join the team at our Moorebank Print on Demand (PoD) site.

The Maintenance Supervisor is the shift lead for a team of up to 8 technicians (fitters and electricians).

During each shift, they lead the team in executing preventive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.

They maintain a strong focus on safety by monitoring processes and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulations and policies.

Key job responsibilities

• Supervise and lead Maintenance Technicians by motivating, providing guidance and directions to help them achieve their goals.
• Deliver and maintain Preventive Maintenance programs, building compliance programs, including facility and contractor management.
• Act as an ambassador for safety within the team and to promote safe working across the site.
• Manage maintenance related purchase orders to maximize smooth facility operation and control of critical spare and store inventory to ensure adequate stock levels for maintenance.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot all FC systems including power distribution, automated material handling equipment, conveyance, and all other operational equipment.
• Develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels in the organization, including regular attendance to site leadership meetings and steering committees.

Basic Qualifications

• Formal trade qualification: Cert III in Electrotechnology holding an unrestricted trade licence OR Cert III Mechanical Engineering (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, equivalent trade qualifications formally recognised in Australia.
• Industrial maintenance experience.
• Leadership experience in supervising multi-trade teams in a fast paced industrial manufacturing/distribution center environment.
• Experience in mentoring and developing technicians.
• Relevant experience in automation or material handling equipment environments.
• Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.
• Experience in contractor management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in automated conveyor systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, preventative maintenance procedures, blueprint and schematic reading, industrial electrical, industrial controls, industrial electronics, Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs, work order management.
• Experience of multi-contractor management.
• Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements.
• Facility management.
