LANXESS Italia in Latina is seeking an experienced maintenance leader to own the maintenance function for our Lubricant Additives production site. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, drive reliability, and align maintenance with production, engineering and HSE to improve asset performance.

The role combines hands-on plant leadership with strategic planning, SAP/CMMS governance and budget oversight. Fluency in Italian and English is required, with relocation not offered.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Several years of maintenance leadership experience in continuous process manufacturing.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating contractors.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, reliability engineering and asset management.
• Experience budgeting, KPIs and maintenance planning via SAP or CMMS.

Job Requirements

At LANXESS in Latina, you will take ownership of the maintenance function for our Lubricant Additives production site. This is a visible leadership role for someone who enjoys working close to operations, leading people and improving the long‑term performance of industrial assets.

You will lead an established multidisciplinary maintenance team, coordinate external contractors and work closely with Production, Engineering and HSE. The role is hands‑on enough to stay connected to the plant, and strategic enough to shape maintenance priorities, reliability improvements and future site development.

What You Will Do

• Lead the maintenance function for the Latina production site, ensuring safe, reliable and cost‑effective operation of plant assets.
• Develop and execute preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance strategies.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
• Several years of maintenance leadership experience in chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, specialty chemicals, lubricant additives or another continuous process manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary maintenance teams and coordinating contractors.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, reliability engineering, Mechanical Integrity and asset management.
• Experience managing maintenance budgets, KPIs and maintenance planning through SAP or another CMMS.
• Strong leadership, communication, coaching and decision‑making skills.
• Professional working proficiency in Italian, native or C2 level, and English, at least B2 level.

Nice to have

• Experience working on a Seveso or Major Hazard industrial site.
• Experience with asset lifecycle management and reliability improvement programmes.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or TPM.
