Generator Venice is seeking an experienced Maintenance Crew member to join our team. You will be responsible for electrical, plumbing and decorative maintenance to support a truly unique guest experience.

You’ll ensure safety compliance, manage asset records, and keep on-site equipment in excellent condition to back up a vibrant Generator culture on the Giudecca island in Venice.

Formación

• Technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing and decoration.
• At least 2 years’ experience, ideally within hospitality background, in a similar role.
• Eligible to work in the EU.

Responsabilidades

• Have a comprehensive knowledge of, and ensure compliance with local legislation and regulation, including H&S, building regulations and Fire Safety.
• Take ownership of maintenance-related responsibilities for the building to create a unique Generator experience.
• Ensure spaces embody the Generator brand and culture.
• Maintain safety and asset register records at all times.
• Ensure and maintain all onsite equipment so it is ready for use.
• Maintain and preserve the internal and external structure of the building.

ABOUT GENERATOR VENICE

It’s not hard to find beauty in a marble city built on a lagoon, but away from the obvious sights and monuments, across bridges, down backstreets and into secret squares, you’ll discover the hidden corners where Venetians hang out. Because if you want to find the real Venice, you have to get lost.

Generator Venice stands on the waterfront of the island of Giudecca, one short stop on the Vapporetto from Piazza San Marco. This hostel was originally a warehouse, so the building blends history and character with contemporary design features.

Inside the Generator Venice hostel you’ll find luxurious mosaic floors, a glass chandelier and an imposing stone fireplace. Public spaces are subtly split into intimate and open-plan areas – all surrounding the bar and café. Every room has a view of either the gardens, Lido, Grande Canal or the iconic San Marco. Not bad for a hostel, aye?

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Have a comprehensive knowledge of, and ensure that you comply with all statutory local legislation and regulation, in particular, H&S, building regulations and Fire Safety
• Take ownership of the maintenance related responsibilities for the building to ensure that we create a truly unique Generator experience
• Ensure that our social spaces embody the Generator brand and culture
• Maintain all safety and asset register records at all times
• Take responsibility for all equipment onsite ensuring that it is maintained and ready for use at all times
• Maintain and preserve the internal and external structure of the building
• Ensure and identify where possible problems that may affect the guest experience and rectify in good time
