Our client is a fast-growing manufacturing company in the Food industry and part of a listed Multinational Group with a well-established global presence.

Role

The candidate will be responsible for the technical efficiency of the production plants and the commissioning of new production lines. The role includes overseeing industrial maintenance and interfacing with the engineering department for the design, installation, and commissioning of complex systems for food processing and packaging.

In this role, the candidate will have the opportunity to lead and promote a continuous improvement culture playing a pivotal role in guiding the entire organization towards a new, highly automated and efficient plant management.

Reporting directly to the Operations Management and the Corporate Engineering Department, the candidate will be involved in strategic investment and plant development projects, acting as the technical point of reference.

Key responsibilities :

  • Lead and drive implementation of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to ensure full operational efficiency of the plants;
  • Delivering operational excellence through flawless equipment functioning in a proactive and timely manner identifying pragmatic and cost-effective solution, making quick decisions and delivering expected outcome;
  • Collaboration with the engineering department for the installation and commissioning of new production equipment;
  • Oversight and coordination of external service contractors on site, providing support in resolving complex issues;
  • Technical planning of maintenance activities in synergy with production needs;
  • Analysis and optimization of plant performance using technical KPIs and monitoring tools;
  • Implementation of digital tools for maintenance management;
  • Collaboration with cross-functional internal and external teams to implement the maintenance strategy and facilitate the smooth transition of processes, technology and culture within the organization;
  • Compliance responsibility for safety regulations and company policies of all equipment by role modelling safe working practices and the right behaviours to embed a solid HSE culture;
  • Developing and delivering a sustainable and solid energy management strategy aimed at energy efficiency, responsible use of resources minimizing waste and impact on the environment through the optimization of all plant utilities, including water, gas, and electrical systems;
  • Preparing accurate technical documentation of the process and setup configurations, utility and equipment usage, and energy consumption reports adjusting strategies.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Automation Engineering, or equivalent;
  • Previous experience in a management role within the food production or manufacturing enviroment;
  • Solid expertise in maintenance, project engineering, commissioning and continuous improvement of production systems;
  • Ability to manage technical teams and coordinate cross-functional activities;
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and food quality standards;
  • Good knowledge of English language;
  • Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
