The Maintenance & Calibration Specialist assists the Process and Maintenance team to assure that the Production Equipment (e.g. synthesis modules, dispensing robots, isolators) and related Utilities (e.g. HVAC, cleanrooms, electrical plants) are working properly by leading and performing preventive and corrective interventions to support the best possible production outcome.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate to assure that site equipment is running properly, responsible for the best performance and reliability of the production equipment, in particular for the synthesis modules, the dispensing robot, CRP, and semi-automated lines.
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on Production Equipment according to Novartis Standards and Procedures.
- Trigger and support the intervention of the supplier's service (for equipment covered by a service or a contract) in case of potential or declared problems.
- Manage and supervise technical maintenance activities carried out by third parties, coordinate external companies, and define activities calendar.
- Support Production personnel during day/night shifts in case of problems on equipment as part of the 24/7 on-call team.
- Inform and interact with the Production Department, the HSE manager/Production Supervisor about any potential or declared problem, ongoing actions, and any change in problem status (including problem solution).
- Support maintenance activities related to utilities and facilities (e.g. HVAC system, UPS, Power Generator and others).
- Check equipment stocks of spare parts and consumables.
- Use CMMS for maintenance/calibration management.
- Collaborate with QA, HSE and Radioprotection Functions to reach and maintain highest safety and quality standards.
Essential requirements
- Technical Diploma or University Degree in Engineering.
- Previous experience within a maintenance department.
- Good communication skills.
- Fluent in Italian. Good knowledge of English.
Desirable requirements
- Electrical/Automation degree or knowledge.
- Previous experience within a GMP environment.
