Job Description

The Machine Operator I in Carding will be trained to set up, run, and change over 4 Carding lines independently, focusing on quality, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. The operator will follow standard procedures to efficiently produce high-quality products in a timely manner. This position is also responsible for inspecting goods and documenting results.

Requirements:

• Follow all safety rules, including Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures and the use of Personal Protective Equipment such as hearing and eye protection.
• Learn to operate 4 Nonwoven Carding Machines.
• Learn to set up, run, change-over, and clean assigned equipment.
• Maintain the machine in good working condition through proper cleaning.
• Keep the work area neat and organized according to 5S Standards.
• Work with Supervisors to understand all machine adjustments affecting quality and runnability.
• Complete work within the expected time frame for the production job.
• Learn the basics of all machine components they are trained on.
• Review job documentation before starting and ask questions if instructions are unclear.
• Communicate daily with Supervisors about issues or concerns and provide status updates across shifts.
• Identify quality issues both incoming to and created by the operation.
