Chart Industries in Lombardy, Italy, is seeking a Machine Operator to operate and monitor large machine tools for heavy metal fabrication and to read and interpret technical drawings for precise machining of large workpieces.

You will perform visual and dimensional quality checks, keep work areas clean, and collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines while adhering to safety procedures.

What Will You Do?

• Operate and monitor the operation of large machine tools for heavy metal fabrication.
• Perform cutting, drilling, bending, boring, and other machining operations on large workpieces.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and production specifications, paying close attention to machining tolerances.
• Perform visual and dimensional quality checks on machined parts using measuring instruments.
• Keep work areas and machines clean and organized, in compliance with company safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet scheduled deadlines and production quotas.
• Report any anomalies, machine malfunctions, or deviations from established standards.

Requirements & Qualifications...

• Previous experience as a machine tool operator, preferably in the heavy metal fabrication sector or in the machining of large mechanical components.
• Knowledge of the main machine tools and machining techniques for large-scale materials.
• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret machining specifications.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team and commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and machine operating procedures.
