About Us: Headquartered in Silicon Valley (Sunnyvale, CA), Eta Compute Inc. is an innovative startup delivering energy-efficient Edge AI/ML solutions. Our core product, Aptos Edge MLOps, is a no-code AutoML toolchain for low-power edge devices. We value an entrepreneurial mindset.

The Role: We're seeking a motivated ML Engineer to advance our AutoML platform. You'll be key in expanding its capabilities, onboarding new ML use-cases (vision, time-series, etc.), and improving the product.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of our cloud-based AutoML system for Edge AI.
• Integrate new ML use-cases across various domains (vision, time-series, etc.).
• Design and build pipelines combining AI and conventional algorithms for edge applications.
• Collaborate on data strategies, preprocessing, and model training.
• Stay updated with Edge AI and AutoML advancements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's (PhD a plus) in STEM (Computer Science or related fields).
• Industry experience in ML (AutoML or Edge AI) or strong academic background.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and technologies (e.g., Node.js, web technologies, API development).
• Familiarity with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX).
• Experience working with various ML use-cases and expanding into new data domains.
• Applied research acumen and an entrepreneurial approach are valued.
• Understanding of embedded systems concepts is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and English communication skills.

Location:

Fully Remote (Potential for future hybrid in Milan, Italy).
