We are looking for a highly motivated and analytically strong

M&A Senior Analyst

to join our M&A and IR team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Group’s credit rating strategy and capital structure analysis, working closely with rating agencies and senior stakeholders. You will also contribute to key corporate finance and M&A initiatives within the financial institutions sector.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Corporate Finance Support (M&A)

  • Conduct detailed financial modeling, including pro forma balance sheets, regulatory capital, and credit metrics.
  • Provide analytical support for project finance and M&A transactions involving financial institutions.
  • Assist in the drafting of executive-level briefing notes for the Board of Directors.

Credit & Rating Advisory

  • Lead in-depth credit risk assessments for the company, with a focus on methodologies used by Moody’s and other top-tier rating agencies.
  • Develop and maintain internal credit rating models aligned with Moody’s criteria.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality credit presentations and analysis to support external credit ratings.
  • Engage proactively with rating agencies, presenting the company’s credit story and strategic developments.
  • Operational & Administrative Support

  • Coordinate budgeting, manage advisor purchase orders, and oversee internal reporting processes.
  • Handle scheduling and administrative tasks related to finance and rating agency interactions.
  • Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in FIG (Financial Institutions Group) credit analysis, preferably within a rating agency such as Moody’s, Fitch, or S&P.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting or executing M&A or corporate finance transactions within the financial services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of capital structures, rating agency methodologies, and cross-border financial regulation.
  • Proficiency in Excel and advanced financial modeling techniques.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to senior stakeholders and external agencies.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
