Hitachi Energy Italy S.P.A. in Rome is seeking a Transport, Logistics & Warehouse Operations Specialist to manage end-to-end logistics, warehousing, and transport processes within the Substation Automation unit.

The role oversees inbound/outbound shipments, liaison with suppliers and clients across Europe, and ensures accurate inventory in the SAP/WMS systems, while driving continuous improvement and compliance with Hitachi policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, or supply chain.
• Experience with SAP ERP systems, including data extraction and processing.
• Knowledge of inventory control principles, stock accuracy, and annual physical inventory processes.
• Experience collaborating with Procurement, Project Management, Finance, and Controlling functions.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Organizational and coordination skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a multicultural international environment.
• Fluent Italian and good English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project managers to arrange collection of goods from suppliers (Italy, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Germany, and occasionally China and India).
• Organize shipment of materials returned by clients to Hitachi due to warranty defects.
• Identify, gather, and prepare documents for export, import, and triangular trade of goods.
• Engage freight carriers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments and track delivery.
• Prepare shipping documents (Bills of Lading, invoices) for domestic and international shipments.
• Handle RFQs for international and domestic road transport in collaboration with Purchasing.
• Negotiate with carriers for competitive shipping rates and services, coordinate with Purchasing for purchase orders.
• Monitor warehouse and testing room logistics to receive, inspect, and record shipments; maintain inventory in WMS.
• Ensure SAP is used to initiate inbound/outbound processes and report anomalies.
• Support Controlling to monitor inventory levels and prevent overstock.
• Scrap obsolete materials per Italian law and company standards.
• Lead inventory count process and SAP data upload.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and Hitachi policies.
