Job summary

Hitachi Energy Italy S.p.A. in Rome, Lazio, Italy, is seeking a Transport, Logistics & Warehouse Operations Specialist for the Santa Palomba site to ensure efficient, cost-effective transport and safe, timely handling of goods across the supply chain.

You will coordinate shipments regionally, prepare export/import documentation, manage SAP inbound/outbound processes, support inventory counts, and drive process improvements in material storage and traceability to meet delivery deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, or supply chain functions in manufacturing.
• Experience with SAP ERP systems, data extraction, analysis, and transaction processing.
• Knowledge of inventory control principles and annual physical inventory processes.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Procurement, Project Management, Finance, and Controlling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and coordination skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Fluent Italian and good English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project managers to arrange collection of goods from multiple countries and deliveries to warehouses or client sites.
• Organize inbound/outbound shipments, track shipments, and resolve transit issues; prepare shipping documents for domestic and international shipments.
• Negotiate with freight carriers for competitive rates and services; issue purchase orders with Purchasing.
• Monitor SAP inbound/outbound processes and report anomalies; support inventory controls and cycle counts.
• Scrap obsolete materials per Italian law; coordinate with subcontractors.
• Lead inventory counting and design a tracking database to manage material flows from receipt to shipment.
