Excellence in Waterproofing, Roofing and Surfacing Technology
The Logistics Manager is responsible for all movement of raw material items and finished products in and out of the facilities, including properly handling damage claims and inspecting returned items. The Logistics Manager is also responsible for internal movement, storage, preservation, and maintaining traceability.
Essential Functions
- Supervise shipper(s) / receiver(s) employees. Expected to ship & receive as necessary
- Ensuring legal compliance with hazardous materials shipments both domestically and internationally
- Developing and updating departmental based KPIs
- Transport damage claims and related freight issues
- Receiving and inspection of customer returns
- Inventory management
- Use of good business practices (cooperative, cordial, polite, courteous, and honest) in all business activities
- Abide by all safety guidelines as posted, communicated, and trained in the industrial establishment where he / she may be workingand report all accidents
- Reliability and attendance, begin work on time and adhere to work hours and schedule
- Liaise with freight forwarding
- Understand & comply with regulatory requirements, including export, import, warehousing, and hazmat shipping.
- Input to and maintenance of inventory into ERP system
- Input and maintenance of shipments into ERP system
- Management of the release, freight, and customs clearance of goods shipped.
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities is critical
- Ensure the competence, awareness, and up-to-date training for all departmental employees
- Directly responsible for cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
Qualifications
- LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- TECHNICAL ABILITY : Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Computer literate. Must have a working knowledge of hazmat shipping requirements as per 49 CFR, IMDG, TDS, ADR, and IATA including requirements for labelling, placarding, and manifests. Must have a working knowledge of HS and HTS tariff codes.
- REASONING ABILITY : Ability to solve problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
