Manager / Team Leader

Purpose of the job

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Logistics Manager for France & Benelux, based in Italy. The successful candidate will act as a crucial link between the demand from France and Belgium and the execution team at the EMEA HUB in Italy. This role requires a strong logistics background, technical and IT skills, as well as the ability to collaborate on process improvement initiatives and ensure the adoption of new processes and procedures by the team.

Main goals
  1. Make decisions regarding logistics operations for France and Benelux.
  2. Approve logistics plans and strategies.
  3. Allocate resources and manage budgets for logistics activities.
  4. Supervise and evaluate the performance of direct reports in France.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods to France and Benelux.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the demand teams in France and Belgium and the delivery team at the EMEA HUB in Italy.
  • Collaborate with the Process Improvement Manager on initiatives to enhance logistics processes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure new processes and procedures are effectively communicated and implemented by the local team in France.
  • Utilize technical and IT skills to optimize logistics operations and improve overall efficiency.
Key Tasks
  • Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, such as delivery times, cost efficiency, and SLA adherence. Identify trends and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to team members through regular meetings, training, and development opportunities.
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal teams, addressing issues promptly.
  • Implement and train the team on logistics software and systems to streamline operations.
  • Conduct audits and assessments of logistics processes, ensuring compliance and recommending improvements.
  • Collaborate on process improvement initiatives, participating in projects to optimize workflows and reduce costs.
  • Ensure effective communication and adoption of new processes within the team in France.
Profile

The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Engineering, or a related field, with 5+ years of professional experience in logistics or supply chain management. Proven supervisory or managerial experience within logistics is required.

Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems, such as WMS and ERP.
  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Understanding of logistics operations, laws, and regulations, especially in France and Benelux.
  • Project management skills related to logistics and process improvements.
  • Experience managing budgets and costs.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety standards and compliance.
  • Fluency in English; French is a plus.
