We are looking for a Logistic Engineer to join our Headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese (BO).

You will report hierarchically to the Head of Logistic Engineering and Operations and functionally to the Logistic Engineering coordinator.

Your responsibilities include analyzing product evolution to establish effective logistics concepts with suppliers, LSP, and AL, and assessing associated logistic costs.

Your main activities will be:

1. Participating in Simultaneous Engineering Teams (SET) and industrial sub-projects
2. Supporting sourcing processes with the purchasing department by providing concepts and data within set deadlines, and monitoring supplier appointments
3. Drafting and updating documents (specifications, presentations) for nomination phases or post-nomination bidding
4. Planning logistics concepts and flow of purchasing materials from suppliers to Point of Use
5. Organizing JIS meetings
6. Conducting economic evaluations related to product assessments, logistics costs, and warehouse layouts, considering product content and safety standards
7. Tracking product content and assessing impacts on supply chain and internal processes
8. Planning and monitoring logistic costs for products, including capacity, milestones, and timing
9. Evaluating and planning investments in warehouse equipment, handling areas, and supermarkets
10. Defining packaging requirements
11. Implementing and updating physical and SAP logistic flows according to process changes
12. Specifying procurement logistic equipment, conducting technical checks, and managing SAP data
13. Proposing and evaluating improvements in logistic flows and layouts

About you

• University Degree in Mechanical, Management, or Industrial Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in high-volume manufacturing or automotive warehouses
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience working with Logistic service providers and external suppliers
• Excellent analytical skills
• Knowledge of safety regulations
• Fluent in English; Italian and German are a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving abilities
• Assertive personality with proactive action implementation skills
• Team-oriented and customer-focused attitude
