    We seek a highly skilled Litigation Lawyer specializing in consumer flight claims, particularly in in-court collections, to lead legal actions in Italy. The role involves filing court cases to recover compensation, reimbursements, and refunds for airline passengers, focusing on EU261 and Montreal Convention claims. The lawyer should be capable of handling claims independently, with experience in litigation, and be passionate about advocating for consumer rights in the airline industry.

    The candidate must be free from conflicts of interest, able to litigate against different airlines, and prepared to support legal and strategic initiatives, including potential law reforms and PR opportunities.

    Requirements :

    • A valid Attorney at Law license in Italy and professional liability insurance.
    • A law degree from an accredited institution.
    • Experience with small claims, consumer rights, or aviation law is a plus, but not required.
    • Knowledge of relevant consumer protection laws and aviation regulations is a plus, but not required.
    • Proven success in in-court collection efforts.
    • Strong analytical, research, and legal strategy skills.
    • Ability to manage caseloads, prioritize, meet deadlines, and monitor statutes of limitations.
    • Experience with automating and scaling claims processes using legal tech solutions.

    Responsibilities :

    • Act as the legal representative of AirAdvisor in Italy, managing all legal matters and claims within jurisdiction. Assist in establishing a law firm if feasible, including corporate structuring and registration of legal counsel.
    • Handle pre-court collections and out-of-court settlements.
    • Prepare and file batches of legal claims monthly against airlines to recover compensation, reimbursements, and refunds, including baggage claims.
    • Respond to airline defenses and challenges assertively.
    • Lead enforcement of court judgments and coordinate enforcement actions.
    • Engage in settlement negotiations and represent AirAdvisor’s interests in court.
    • Maintain accurate case files, ensure compliance with legal ethics, data protection, and standards.
    • Stay updated on legal developments in consumer protection, aviation law, and relevant regulations.
    • Seek legal remedies for unjust decisions, including appeals and legislative advocacy where feasible.
    • Support automation and optimization of claims workflows using legal technology, including AI tools.
    • Identify new business opportunities for low-value, high-volume claims in areas like financial disputes and labor law, conducting cross-jurisdictional research.
    • Represent AirAdvisor in media and PR activities, enhancing public awareness of passenger rights.
    • Review and vet content to build local trust and authority.
    • Advocate for passenger and consumer rights within the airline and travel industry.
