  • Job summary
  • This job involves organizing and managing the library at the Florence School of Fashion and Art.

    The role also includes running library activities to provide high-quality services to students and tutors.

    • Key purpose of the role
    • Provide vision and leadership for the development of Florence resources, services, and policies;
    • Further develop the Fashion and Art Library collection through budget allocation and purchasing new materials based on tutors' suggestions and curriculum knowledge;
    • Maintain journal and electronic resource subscriptions, analyzing their usage and performance;
    • Maintain and enhance the Florence Library Management System;
    • Assist students in research by suggesting relevant materials and study methods;
    • Deliver inductions and information sessions on Fashion and Art literacy to students;
    • Manage photocopy machines and assist students and teachers in their use;
    • Create monthly management reports to inform the Director of Education about progress and developments;
    • Contribute to the wider School administration team and participate in School-wide activities;
    • Take responsibility for specific services and support activities under the guidance of senior staff;
    • Perform other customer-facing duties, including training events, road shows, staff/student committees, and reception duties.

    Education and Skills

    • Bachelor's Degree in Politics-Economics
